About Me πŸ‘‹

I’m a third-year Ph.D. student in Computer Science at Simon Fraser University, where I’m fortunate to work under the supervision of Professor Mo Chen at the MARS Lab. Before joining SFU, I completed my Master’s degree at Sharif University of Technology, advised by Professor Mahdieh Soleymani, and earned my Bachelor’s degree at Shiraz University.

My broad research interest lies in understanding and helping to develop the foundational components that could eventually enable artificial general intelligence β€” an agent capable of learning efficiently, generalizing well, and performing across diverse cognitive tasks. I believe such intelligence will likely arise from the interaction of several core mechanisms, including memory hierarchies, attention, reasoning, lifelong learning and knowledge transfer, goal-oriented behavior, and world modeling.

I am also interested in neuro-inspired AI, which seeks to connect insights from neuroscience with computational learning systems. So far, my research has primarily focused on Continual Learning and Reinforcement Learning.

Beyond research, which I enjoy (most of the time πŸ™‚), I like watching thought-provoking movies about the future and thinking on philosophical questions about intelligence and the meaning of life.
